2 women busted for shabu trade
THE wife of an arrested notorious drug peddler and her woman friend were arrested following a buy bust operation Tuesday evening at Brgy. Ocho, TIgbauan, Iloilo.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) VI collared Jenel Villanueva, 27, also of Brgy. Ocho, and Noevie Abilo, 27,of Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Arevalo, Iloilo but is temporarily staying at Villanueva’s house.
PDEA-6 regional director Paul Ledesma said that PDEA operatives brought a sachet of shabu from Villanueva shortly after the suspects’ arrival at their house.
Villanueva and Abilo were then arrested after the former handed a sachet of suspected shabu in consideration of P500.
Ledesma claimed that they further yielded from the pocket of Villanueva’s pants three sachets of shabu shabu.
On the other hand, Abilo was taken with additional two sachets.
Ledesma said that they already followed the suspected after they came from Brgy. Boulevard, Molo.
“Halin pa lang sila sa Molo Boulevard, may nag text na sa amon nga nakahalin na sila. Gin-ambangan lang to sila namon. Paglab-ot sa balay nila, nagpasulod dayon kami tawo kag nagbakal” Ledesma said.
He revealed that they have been monitoring Villanueva’s movement after it was reported that she took over from her husband, who was arrested several months for the same violation.
The PDEA regional chief claimed that after they arrested the Villanueva siblings, someone else took over the operation.
“Sang na-aresto ang nagbulos sa mag-utod nga Villanueva, ang asawa (Jenel) naman ang nagbulos,” Ledesma stated.

Despite the PDEA’s positive assertion, Jenel said that there was no selling of shabu that took place.

Her husband is incarcerated at IRC.
“Sa Pototan kami naghalin, paano kami nagbaligya”? she quipped.
