The UPV Lantern Parade
The University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Iloilo Campus, held a lantern parade. Different student groups coming from varied college departments joined. They were Ugyon, Goldies, Elektrons, Clovers, Skimmers, Red Bolts, Scotech, Magnates, Scions, Tycoons and the College of Fisheries. Each group had a human lantern while every student carried a small lantern made of indigenous materials. They parade at Infante Avenue, Delgado and General Luna.
After the parade, different groups rendered some musical presentations, followed by dinner on the campus quadrangle.
It was the university’s celebration for the Christmas season as well as a nice send-off to students and faculty before they start their holiday break.
