Lions extend help to Brgy. Calubihan
Iloilo City Integrated lions Club (ICILC) together with SM City Iloilo and other program partners spread Christmas cheer to the residents of Barangay Calubihan, Jaro, Iloilo City last month.
Headed by ICILC’s president Marcos Villalon, a medical and dental mission, feeding program, and gift giving activity was prepared.
About 180 persons were the beneficiary from the medical mission and almost 80 persons living in Brgy. Calubihan got the opportunity to have a free dental service. Malnourished kids enjoyed Ted’s Lapaz Batchoy and hot delicious bread from Molo County Bakeshop. With a full stomach, they received a toy from SM Foundation and SM City Iloilo.
The medical and dental team consisted of doctors and paramedics from Iloilo Mission Hospital. Philippine Charity and Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) also extended their help by supplying the medicines needed for the mission.
This project is a yearly activity of the ICILC together with some program partners. This is the fifth year that the club provides service to the said barangay where their two-storey club building is located.
