Nobody but you ...
The News Today, Iloilo Main Office personnel.SOMEHOW the famous song “Nobody But You” was the theme of the Christmas Party of The News Today because all the departments prepared for a dance number with that as the music. Thus, sounds of the said song permeated the TNT area while many practiced their pieces in not so secret places.
Then the Christmas Party came on December 29, and the Tarp Boys won the contest because of their almost oh-so-Vegas (amateur level, that is) and hilarious dance number while they were dressed as queers. The crowd, consisting of Iloilo, Bacolod and Capiz Bureau personnel, cheered and howled.
That was after the dinner. Then after the dance contest, games followed where the fun resumed when contestants were such good sports while participating in the Flour Contest. The mood was expectant when the gift-giving arrived. Each personnel was asked to open the gate that he or she received. There was a raffle, too, thus several of us took home some freebies.
Every year, The News Today makes it a point to think of fun ways to celebrate our Christmas. For fun, there’s nobody but … The News Today.
