Bad egg?
Text messages are circulating that the controversial cop-bodyguard of Raul Sr. who reportedly harassed the children of Mayor JPT has a previous criminal record. Although the text message is questionable authorities should look seriously into the matter because if it is true then the said cop has no place in the PNP organization.
Insensitive politicians
Politicians have been so aggressive in their campaign that even funeral wakes are not spared. Bisan indi nila kilala ang minatay ginakadtuan nila kag mag-uluistorya sa mga tawo sa himatayan. Kag indi lang ina, naga-panagtag pa sila sang ila leaflets sa mga tawo! Baw! Wala huya! Wala na gid respeto maski sa mga patay!
Public hospital over public college
Bacolod city government is about to put up its very own lying-in clinic to serve the health needs of its constituents most particularly the less fortunate ones. On the contrary, nobody from the Iloilo City government thinks of putting up such project. Iloilo City residents merely depend on the government-run Western Visayas Medical Center which also caters to patients from the municipalities and from other provinces of Panay, for their medical needs. Wala gid sang kaugalingon nga hospital ang mga pumuluyo sang siyudad. Instead of pushing for the so-called city public college, our city officials should consider giving importance to putting up our very own hospital. Iloilo City has a lot of universities and colleges that there is no more need to have a city public college. Maybe what the city government should do is to expand the scholarship program for the youth, not necessarily operate a city public college. What is more needed by the people is a public hospital that could cater to their medical needs and that could offer quality health services they could afford.
