Ma raps son for burning house
ROXAS CITY – A 67-year old mother has charged her son with arson for burning her house in Baragnay Cabungahan, Maayon, Capiz, recently.
Teresita Villa, 67, of the said place said her youngest son Manuelito, 48, intentionally burned her house.
She said that her son locked her house so that she cannot escape and poured gasoline then burned it.
Teresita, a widow, said in a radio interview, that she escaped the fire after he jumped off through the window.
According to her, her livestock such as chicken, ducks and pig and four sacks of palay were also gutted by fire perpetrated by her son.
The widow also revealed that her son got irked when she cut the guava tree beside her house because her grandchildren usually harvest the fruits even if it is still not fit for eating.
She said that the estimated damage of the fire is P80,000 to include her livestock which also gutted by fire.
