Fun and moving Ateneo’s Family Day
HUNDREDS of Ateneans and their family members, including alumni, teachers, and friends, excitedly filled the 7.5 hectare new Ateneo complex at Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao to celebrate the two-day Family revelry over the weekend.
The affair was initiated by the Parents Teachers Associations of both the Grade School and High School with the help of school teachers and student council officers of both departments.
The first day was greeted by a long motorcade and fiesta of games, bingos, arcades, feria rides, booths, horseback rides, and wellness sessions for the whole day. Saturday night was sealed by a bonfire and a carousel of alumni bands presentations and jamming sessions.
The second day, on the other hand, started with an early morning 3-kilometer fun run and pile loads of games, including kite flying contests and parlor amusements. The car raffle draw was held Sunday afternoon and was followed by late dusk stage music and fireworks revelries.
