Three men rob fishing vendors
Three motorcycle-riding men robbed a couple early morning of yesterday at Guzman St., Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Reports said that Rey Salinel and his wife, Sofia, were on their way to the Iloilo Fishing Port Complex on board a tricycle when the suspects waylaid them.
According to Sofia, before they even reached the public plaza of Mandurriao, the three suspects were tailing behind them. Suddenly, they heard a gunfire.
This prompted the couple to stop.
When they came to a halt, one of the suspects then poked a gun at them.
“Daw may armas sila nga tatlo pero isa lang ang nagtaya sa amon,” she claimed.
The woman then asked the suspects, “Ano sala ko sa inyo. Pero hinambalan lang kami nga pa-gwaon ang amon kwarta.”
At first, Sofia did not surrender her wallet containing P4,200 but the suspects grabbed her husband. When she readily conceded, the suspects released Rey.
The trio then sped off to an undisclosed direction.
Sofia claimed that she could not describe the suspects except that they could be in their 20s and they were riding on a blue motorcycle.
