Goodbye and hello
Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera has quit her post yesterday after the Supreme Court affirmed a previous ruling that appointed government officials seeking public office were deemed resigned automatically.
At last! Agnes must have realized her choices are getting narrow.

Senator Manny Villar and his NP team visited a member of his senatorial ticket (Col. Ariel Querubin) jailed at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City yesterday to give “moral support” and press that he be allowed to campaign.
I may not be a Villar fan but I am sure is for Querubin. May he (Maza, Ocampo and Lim) win like the way Trillanes did three years ago.

One of the candidates for Chief Justice, Antonio Carpio, admitted paying for hotel accommodations of his staff in a 1989 convention of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) but denied allegations that he was involved in electioneering.
I’m not surprised why he is supported by PGMA. Same dogs bark together.

With two of its high-ranking officers neutralized, the Muslim extremist Abu Sayyaf group is effectively demoralized and their capabilities reduced, the PNP yesterday.
Is it really goodbye Abu for good?

An endorsement from President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo amounts to a kiss of death, results of a nationwide survey conducted last month showed.
I am so sorry for Gibo. While he is arguably the most intelligent bet in the presidential pack, he is also the most unlucky of all with the skirt of Arroyo around.

Congressional bets from different parties in Capiz share a common opinion that it is better to abolish the Countrywide Development Fund (CDF) or pork barrel if such funds will only go to the pocket of congressmen and not properly used for projects.
They are all in showbiz mode. I bet they will change their opinion to Pork Barrels if they are already in power.

Every year migratory birds from different parts of the world come to visit Antique’s wetlands because of tropical climate conducive for molting, feeding and breeding.
I hope investors will flock Iloilo City in the same manner also.

The damage caused by the El Niño weather pattern has nearly reached P4 billion.
This is the wrath of global warming. Be aware, again.

Don’t vote for overstaying officials running for public office, PPCRV says.
Amen! Overstaying politicians are just similar to diapers. They must be changed for the same reasons.

Western Visayas has 5.5 million bags of rice inventories enough to last for the next 85 days, according to the National Food Authority (NFA).
How about the next days thereafter? Farmers can barely plant palay in their lands that are supposed to yield for the lean months of June, July and August.
