CPOC’s “Tulak” to screen at SM City
The Bacolod City Peace and Order Council’s anti-drug campaign through a movie entitled “Tulak” will be on screen this coming March 5 – 7 at SM City Cinema 2.
The actresses of the movie: Isabel Lopez and Ynez Veneracion will grace a short program on March 5 at 7p.m. Gala screening will follow at 7:30 p.m. for the sponsors, beneficiaries and selected guests.
“Tulak” is an advocacy film on drugs, recovery and co-dependency that aims to: inform the youth in public and private schools about drug abuse, its ill effects, consequences and danger to the individual and the society; develop self-awareness of the people’s own possible contribution to drug menace; public information on available free help and rehabilitation for addicts; and to encourage the Filipino Youth to contribute to a drug free Philippines.
This anti-drug campaign movie is for the benefit of the Social Development Center (SDC), REACH (Research Education and Concern to Health) Foundation, Philippine Mental Health Association, and the Bacolod City Mental Hospital.
Tickets are available at the office of Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson at P30.00, P50.00 and P500.00 (Gala).
The movie is in line with the vision and mission of the DepEd in strengthening its National Drug Education Program (NDEP) and in accordance with Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
