Man robbed after ATM withdrawal
Two-motorcycle riding persons held-up a lone man who just withdrew from a roadside ATM booth at Gen. Luna St., Iloilo City.
Jojo Fernandez of Miramar Subdivision, Jaro district said that the suspects approached him while he was about to board his parked vehicle.
“Ginlabayan lang ko nila. Ginpanaugan ko sang isa, ang naga-backride. Gintayaan niya ko ice pick,” Fernandez added.
He narrated that the suspects even told him not to panic, as he was being frisked.
The suspects then divested him of his withdrawn money amounting to P4,000 and his mobile phone.
The robbers also did not insist on getting his ATM card and other valuables.
In thirty seconds, the robbery was over.
Although it was already 9:00 in the evening, Fernandez claimed that he was confident to withdraw since he saw no one prior to that.
“Before ko nagwithdraw, ako man lang isa. Wala man ko kakita nga may naga aligid sa akon nga mga tawo,” he claimed.
After the incident, the suspects sped off on board their blue motorcycle towards the Molo district.
Due to shock and fear, Fernandez failed to get the motorcycle’s plate number.
He immediately reported the incident to the nearby Police Station 1.
A flash alarm was relayed to other stations but it yielded negative result.
