PHAP exec vows to support Guico
ROXAS CITY – Top ranking officials of the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAP) vowed to support League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) national president and Lakas-Kampi-CMD senatorial candidate Ramon Guico this coming May 10 election.
PHAP Executive Vice President Jessie Contreras said that he will support Guico because he agrees with the latter’s platform of government and the Guico’s wife is his colleague in private hospital organization.
Contreras, administrator of the Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, also vowed to campaign for Guico in all religious sectors like Baptist religious organizations and others.
Last week, Guico together reelectionist Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla arrived at Roxas City airport for sorties. They were fetched by Ivisan Mayor Felipe Yap of Ugyon Kita Capiz (UCK) and Former Pilar Mayor Gideon “Ike” Patricio who is the wife of incumbent Pilar Mayor Ritalyn Patricio, the president of LMP Capiz chapter.
Guico, for the 2nd time around, visited Capiz and other parts of Panay island last week where he and Revilla were warmly welcomed by their supporters.
The LMP national president visited 2nd district of Capiz with 2nd district Rep. Fredenil Castro.
Guico vowed to push for a creation of a law that will mandate equal sharing of the internal revenue allotment (IRA) between the national government and the local government units.
The senatoriable also said that he will prioritize bills which seek to promote environmental protection, education for the poor, employment, and health, among others.
