Newly concreted Mansilingan road inaugurated
Mayor Evelio Leonardia and other city government officials led the blessing and inauguration of the newly completed road at Barangay Mansilingan on Sunday at 5 p.m.
The 280 linear meter road leading to UNO-R Ville was constructed by the city government through the City Engineer’s Office with a budget of P1.2 million. Construction started last December and was completed on March 8.
Leonardia saw the need to improve the condition of the said road as most UNO-R Ville residents are teachers and employees of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos.
The City Engineer’s Office also undertook a similar project at the adjacent community of Encarnacion Subdivision along JJ Gonzaga Elementary School. This road will eventually intersect with that of UNO-R Ville’s main subdivision road leading to Hernaez Extension Road and will make travel faster, safer and more comfortable.
