Mass in Jaro church opens Jamora campaign
Putting God before man, candidate for city mayor Larry Jamora opens his campaign today by attending a con-celebrated mass at Jaro Cathedral with Arch. Angel Lagdameo. Jamora will be joined by his family and supporters.
This is not surprising since the Jamora family has always been known to be religious and devout Catholics. It will be recalled that masses also preceded Jamora declaration of candidacy in October and the filing of his certificate of candidacy in November.
Religious groups such as the Couples for Christ, Singles for Christ, Barangay sang Virgen, and the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen of the Philippines (BCBP) Iloilo Chapter are quietly but actively supporting Jamora’s candidacy.
Jamora has also gained the support of not only the Catholic church but also Baptists and other Christian denominations in the city.
After the mass, Jamora will spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon will be spent in visits to various barangays.
In the evening, Jamora has been invited to a dinner by the business sector which, apparently, will also declare their full support for Jamora, the most qualified and capable candidate for mayor of Iloilo City.
