1 killed, 3 hurt in Dumarao shooting
ROXAS CITY — One person was killed while his three companions were wounded when unknown suspect shot them while going home from a benefit dance in Sitio Tuwangtuwangan, Bungsoan, Dumarao, Capiz.
SPO4 Ed Onato identified the fatality as Gerald Lequinario, 22, of Sitio Agtungaw, Lawaan of the said municipality. The victim sustained three fatal gun shot wounds at his back, one of which, existed to his neck, inflicted by 12-gauge shotgun resulting to his instant death.
Victim’s companions were also identified as Johnrel Arroyo, 22, Arnel Martino, 23, and Michael Gaspar, 24, all are residents of Sitio Tagubang, Bungsoan of same town. Arroyo sustained gunshot at his right toe, Martino at his left finger and Gaspar at his hand. They were rushed to the nearby hospital and declared out of danger.
Onato said that the incident took place at around 11:30 p.m. at Sitio Tuwangtuwangan, Bungsoan where the suspect tailed them from darkness and at close range shot them with 12-gauge shot gun while going home.
The Dumarao PNP still cannot establish the motive and the identity of the suspect in the shooting incident.
