Realtor in danger
Realtor Efren Gimeo yesterday exposed to the media the threats he had been receiving from an erstwhile powerful person in the city. The threats stemmed from Gimeo’s failure to give this person additional money as “gift” in the successful acquisition by the city government of P63 million property in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro. Gimeo gave this person only P15,000, however the latter was asking for P100,000. Gimeo begged to give him the balance of P75,000 once he completes his other transaction, but the person apparently could no longer wait. Gimeo is presently afraid for his life.
Vultures at city hall
The cat is out of the bag. Many vultures in the city government have made money from the P63 million land deal in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro which is now the site of the city’s relocation site. Efren Gimeo, the broker in the said transaction, disclosed that he barely enjoyed his realtor’s fee as it all went to the vultures in the National Housing Authority and the city government. Gimeo said more than P3 million went to city government officials, some of them are currently running for public office. “Grabe gid ang mga buwaya sa city hall,” Gimeo lamented as he vowed not to deal with the city government anymore. Using the poor
It’s a pity that every election politicians use as reason for their running their alleged vision to help uplift the lives of the poor. Many elections have passed but still the poor remains poor. In fact, they become poorer. Ironically, while the poor continue to suffer, the politicians (who promised to uplift the lives of the poor) live in abundance. Just take a look at the houses, cars, businesses and the lifestyle of the politicians. Kawawang Juan de la Cruz!
