Healthcare remains city’s priority
The city government is bent on giving quality healthcare service to its constituents as evidenced by on-going improvement and construction of health centers in all districts.
“Health centers are preventive measures (against diseases). These projects have big impact on the life of our residents because they can easily seek medical help, instead of going to the hospital,” Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said.
His administration was able to put up health centers in the city’s six districts, composed of Arevalo, Molo, Mandurriao, Jaro, Lapaz and City Proper.
Treñas proudly stated the health centers are complete in terms of equipment.
Some of the cited health centers are in Esperanza and Duran in the City Proper.
Jaro district will soon have its third health center, with the near completion of a facility in Dungon-B; likewise with Lapaz as the Baldoza health center is about to be finished.
Existing facilities in Lapuz, Lapaz are found in Bo. Obrero and Jalandoni.
In Molo district, Calumpang residents are currently enjoying the services of an existing lying-in clinic in their area, while San Juan will soon have its own worth P2-million.
More than 53,000 city indigents stand to benefit from the services of the aforementioned facilities. (PIO)
