Two trike drivers killed in head-on collision
Two tricycle drivers were killed after their vehicles collided head-on Sunday evening at Brgy. Balabag, Pavia, Iloilo.
The victims were identified as Reynaldo Rivera, 32, a native of Maasin town, Iloilo but was staying at Brgy. Balabag Iloilo; and Peterson Pendon, 29, of Brgy. Aganan, Pavia.
An investigation is still being conducted to determine what triggered the collision.
But according to Arvin Anatan, passenger of one of the tricycles, the driver of the tricycle he was riding turned off its headlights.
Upon reaching the area in front of Balabag Elementary School, the two vehicles collided with each other.
Both drivers incurred multiple head and body injuries. Their legs also incurred fractures.
They were brought to the nearest hospital but both victims did not pull through.
Anatan, on the other hand, sustained wounds on his head but he refused to be put under hospital confinement.
Due to the impact of the incident, the two tricycles were wrecked.
