Top LP 1st district board member vows no corruption in office
ROXAS CITY –Number one Board member-elect Jonathan “Sonny” Besa vowed not to engage in corruption as he will assume office in July 1. This he promised in fulfillment of their party’s campaign slogan “Kung Walang Corrupt Walang Mahirap.”
“This was my promise to my deceased daughter not to engage in corruption and I will dedicate my public service to her,” Besa said.
Besa, a neophyte board member who topped the recently concluded election, lost his daughter Maria Nicole who died in January 2009 due to bacterial pneumonia. Two years before her death, she would stay in the slum areas in Manila to help the people.
He added that he has a purpose to serve his constituents in the first district of Capiz to continue the objective of his daughter.
Besa claimed that he already have established a life in good condition before entering politics.
Besa, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, was a former general manager of JACCOB General Contractor, and chairman of the Board and president of JBB Training Center based in Manila.
He is also the president of the Philippine Executive Assistance on Exigencies Communications, Inc.
It was learned that Besa garnered 69,220 votes over his closest rival Blesilda Perez-Almalbis of Ugyon Kita Capiz who got 69,032 votes.
He also vowed to create more jobs and livelihood, quality education for Capiceños.
