Mudslinging at MIWD
It’s a fact. Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) is inefficient as far as its service to water consumers is concerned. But, definitely privatization is not the only solution to address the problem. So, instead of bickering over the issue of privatization the best thing for both the MIWD Board of Directors and Management to do is work hand in hand to solve the city’s water problem. For sure, mudslinging would not be of help to the suffering city residents.
Dungon Creek dredging
What happened to the dredging of Dungon Creek? It seems nothing was already heard about the 50-million worth project funded by the Typhoon Frank Paglaum Fund. Was it already finished? Daw wala na bati-a ang P50 million haw?
P130M went to nothing
Many people are with high hopes that incoming Pres. Noynoy Aquino, whose battle cry is the fight against corruption, would finally resolve the hanging problem on the Iloilo City Socialized Housing Project in Pavia, Iloilo. More or less P130 million of people’s money was wasted in the said project because of corruption. Unfortunately, for the past eight years since the hullabaloo was uncovered nobody has been made answerable to such a glaring abuse on people’s money. Hopefully, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, who ran under P.Noy’s party, will once and for all resolve this in his first 100 days in office.
