High expectations for Mabilog and Treñas
Congressman-elect Jerry P. Treñas and City Mayor-elect Jed Patrick Mabilog will have no major problems when they start governing their constituents on July 1st. Both are in the same bandwagon in the last election and both have been given by the Ilonggos their unwavering support and trust and the duo will no doubt fulfill their election promises. The men of Treñas and Mabilog in the City Hall will be united together and probably only a minor changes will take effect in the City Hall and probably the Gonzalezes’ people will exit to give way to the Mabilog and Treñas loyalists.
City Mayor Jed Mabilog is an experienced government executive having been elected as city councilor and later presiding officer of the Iloilo City Council. His name has never been linked to any anomalous transaction and his life is an open book. As the presiding officer of the Iloilo City Council, Mabilog demonstrated his leadership with calmness, unbiased and democratic governance. He received prestigious awards from various civic, religious and school authorities and well known organizations abroad. Jed is young and full of vigor and there is no iota of doubt that the new mayor will make Iloilo City as progressive and happy place to live in than his predecessor.
Congressman Jerry Treñas will surely bring honor to the City of Iloilo when he starts delivering his work in the new Congress. A brilliant lawyer and executive, Jerry will fare better than any solons in Congress. A learned lawyer, the Ilonggos will be sure that many bills not only of national interest will be sponsored by him but important bills that will redound to the progress and well being of the Ilonggos who overwhelmingly voted him to congressional position. Treñas will be leaving behind City Hall to a colleague whose administrative abilities are beyond comprehension and being an honest politician, the City of Iloilo is in goods hands.
We wish Congressman Jerry Treñas and City Mayor Jed Mabilog God’s protection and guidance. God bless Jerry and Jed.
