16-year-old driver hits ma, child
A 16-year-old boy just learning how to drive a motorcycle sideswiped a woman and her three-year-old son Wednesday evening at Brgy. Don Esteban, La Paz, Iloilo City.
Both Mary Ann Porras and her son Alvin suffered bruises after they were hit by the motorcycle driven by a certain Rodney.
They were rushed to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
Alvin’s grandfather, Andres Sobro, said they were standing outside their gate when the suspect started the motorcycle.
The neophyte driver failed to control the motorcycle and it rammed directly towards Alvin, who was standing beside Sobro.
The boy fell on the pavement and his back was bleeding when he got up.
Meanwhile, “Rodney” was placed under the custody of their village, and he was found to have no driver’s license, police investigators said.
The motorcycle owner also complained against “Rodney” for using his motorcycle without his approval.
