Tatsulok Artisans
Art enthusiasts are familiar with the group called “Tatsulok Artisans”. They are a group of artists that first sprung from Western Visayas College of Science and Technology in March 2005. The founding artists were Jonathan Jaleco, Julius Reyes, Arel Zambarrano and Joemel Mirabuena.
Every year, the Tatsulok Artisans hold an art workshop for pupils of some public elementary schools in Iloilo City. After the workshop, an exhibit of the students’ works is displayed at a chosen venue. This year, the workshop was entitled “Descendants 4: On Children’s Palette” and the exhibit was held at Gaisano Capital. The participating students came from Mandurriao, Jaro I and Ticud Elementary Schools.
Several years from now, some of these students will follow their Tatsulok Artisans mentors and that is to win in several art competitions as well as excel in industries related to their craft, like graphics designing and architecture.
