CREBA to hold Visayas confab on July 31
The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Association Inc. will hold its “First Regional Real Estate and Housing Conference” in the Visayas at the Holiday Plaza Hotel in Cebu City on July 31.
The event is organized by regional vice president for Visayas Dennis Jalbuena, as conference chairman, and hosted by the CREBA-Cebu Chapter led by Herbert Buot, president and director of CREBA 7.
CREBA is the Philippine umbrella organization of professionals and entities engaged in real estate and housing development, tourism facilities, building and construction, technical consultancy, marketing and other related services.
With its advocacy programs and initiatives, it has become the government’s ally in pursuing a rational and affordable housing program.
Florentino Dulalia Jr., CREBA national president, said the Visayas conference is the second of a series of four conferences all over the country designed to address the specific concerns of businessmen and other professionals on issues and trends that directly impact real estate and housing, as well as its allied industries and professions.
CREBA hosted recently the North Luzon conference in Urdaneta City, while the Southern Luzon and Mindanao legs are already in the offing.
It aims to develop the potential of more stakeholders by building their capacities in finance, construction and marketing, and encouraging them to develop new communities and infrastructure.
The event will highlight the opportunities, implications, licensing and examinations under the new Real Estate Service Act signed into law in June 2009 to professionalize the practice of real estate brokerage and marketing, appraisal and consultancy in the Philippines.
The conference is equivalent to eight units of credit of Continuing Professional Education needed for the participants’ license renewal.
