3 PRO-6 key officers reshuffled
Three key officers of the Police Region 6 were reshuffled by police regional director, Chief Supt. Samuel Pagdilao Jr., effective Wednesday afternoon.
Regional Intelligence Division chief, Senior Supt. Cornelio Defensor, who held his post for more than four years, was relieved and assigned to the Regional Headquarters Support Group.
The RHSG was headed by Senior Supt. Marieto Valerio, who was transferred to the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.
RIDMD chief Senior Supt. Melvin Gayotin, meanwhile, was named RID head, replacing Defensor.
At a press conference early Wednesday, Pagdilao said he would review the records of his subordinate commanders before the revamp will take place, taking into consideration the number of years they spent in their respective positions.
“That would come into play (in making) a decision to institute some changes in the Police Regional Office 6 command staff,” he added.
But even as Pagdilao disclosed to reporters the possible revamp, he apparently has already made a decision as two hours after the press briefing he ordered the reassignment of the three key officers.
