CEH using hallways, alleys to accommodate patients
ROXAS CITY – Humanitarian considerations rise above all else at Capiz Emmanuel Hospital. It does not refuse to admit patients who were not accommodated by other hospitals for lack of space.
Jessie Contreras, CEH hospital administrator, said that currently, the hospital is already full of patients but they are still accommodating more to save lives.
The capacity of the CEH is only 100 beds but its patient admission has already reached 160 patients as the others are occupying the hallways, alleys and even chapels.
“We are not refusing patients especially dengue (patients) who were refused by other hospitals,” Contreras said.
As of July 17, CEH has admitted 374 dengue patients, the highest admission among the hospitals in Roxas City.
Contreras said the CEH board of director led by its chairman lawyer Mariano Dioso is always cooperative with his move for the general welfare of the patients.
He said that he is happy to help and serve especially by saving lives not only of Capiceños but also of patients from outside Capiz.
CEH is an affiliate of the newly converted Filamer Christian University, Iloilo Mission Hospital, and the Central Philippine University in Iloilo City.
