Panitan fiesta set August 7-10
ROXAS CITY – Panitan town under the leadership of Mayor Katherine Belo will celebrate its municipal and religious fiesta on August 7 to 10.
This year’s festivities, themed “Pagpasidungog to deserving Panitananons,” Belo is in honor of St. Lawrence the Deacon, the town’s patron.
Belo said one of the highlights is the Local Government Unit/Global Night with modern ballroom dance event on August 8 that will be attended by Panitananons who became successful abroad.
A farmer’s demo on vegetables and fruits farming by the Department of Agriculture will be held on the first day.
Other activities are: August 7, flag-raising ceremony and Barangay Night; August 8, games, Lantay Race in Panay river; August 9, playground demonstration, gay basketball, vespers/procession, fireworks display and coronation night/pasidungog night; and August 10; Diana, religious masses and civic parade.
