Mother Rosario, pray for us
This is the start of the various testimonies on the reported helps of Mother Rosario on those asking for her assistance through prayers. Mother Rosario is the foundress of the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines. She died in 1957 and there is an ongoing movement for the Cause for her sainthood. Here are two testimonies:
I was 48 years old and was born in Mina, Pototan. I was admitted in the hospital last January 20, 2010. I was operated on of H-Mole and was discharged from the hospital. After one week I had profuse bleeding. I had also abdominal pain, difficulty of urination and of bowel movement. When the pain occurs I feel like fainting. I went back to the hospital. The doctors said I have a vaginal tumor. Sr. Leah saw me and she gave me the prayer leaflet of Mother Rosario. She told me to ask Mother Rosario’s help. I continuously prayed using the prayer leaflet. After several days the doctor examined me and my surprise the tumor is gone. I am happy and thankful to Mother Rosario for answering my prayers.

My sister, Analyn Valencia, 43, was admitted in the hospital because of fainting spell. The doctor’s finding was epilepsy, pneumonia, urinary tract infection and TB. Sr. Leah visited us and told us to pray to God and also ask the help of Mother Rosario. We prayed the prayer leaflet of Mother Rosario everyday. Now her laboratory tests are normal and the doctor told us that we can be discharged already. Thank you, Mother Rosario for helping my sister.

Christ in the Knights of Columbus
(Excerpts from this writer’s speech during the installation of the officers of Jose Ma. Lopez Vito Assembly)
As Christians, our leader is Christ – a leader par excellence. It has been said that: all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned – all these put together have not influenced the life of man on earth as our Supreme Leader, Jesus Christ.
How can we put Christ in ourselves? By knowing the Vision of our Order thus: The Knights of Columbus is a religious, family, fraternal and civic organization of Catholic gentlemen.
From this Vision springs our Mission – to love and serve God and our fellowmen because this is the basic teaching of Christ and our Mother Church.
In short, this is our purpose which is implemented by our projects.
Hence for every project we adopt, the primary question is: Is this for love and for service of God and our fellowmen? If yes, then go ahead with it. If no, forget it. From this, we see that our project is a project of God – not really the project of our Order, nor of our officers. So, let us all cooperate to make it successful.
The second question is a practical one: Is our project doable? This means our project must be within the means, the talents, the manpower of our council.
At this point our projects are just mere dreams. Our guideline here is “Dare to do what you dare to dream. “ So after planning our work, we go to working our plan. Yes – plan your work and work your plan.
It is in working our plan that we meet problems. And to solve these problems, our catch is perseverance – just like Christ when he persevered to carry His Cross to Calvary. In meeting problems, let us not throw away our cross.
If worse come to worst, let us apply what Christ did before facing a crisis in His life. Before embarking on His public ministry, Christ went to pray in the desert for 40 days. Before choosing his apostles, Christ climbed up a hill and prayed. Before undergoing His passion and death, He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane.
