A Gala for Ladies
The Zonta Club of Iloilo City I officers, directors and members.The Zonta Club of Iloilo City I held its induction of officers for the biennium 2010-2012 at the Siete Pecados of Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center. The Zontians came in their gala attire and in gowns to witness the induction. Rep. Jerry Trenas was the inspirational speaker, who said that he holds a special kinship with Zonta, his mother and wife being Zontians. He added that the Iloilo City Government had been a partner of Zonta in its many projects such as the traffic island in front of Atrium. Two other special guests of the Zontians were Mayor Jed Mabilog and Zonta scholar Keziah Huelar of WVSU.
The officers of Zonta I are Dr. Merna Rico Lopez, president; Ma. Amelita Enriquez Lazarraga, president-elect; Jonella Salcedo Zerrudo, vice president; Dulce Posadas Blas, recording secretary; Yolanda Solleza Galvez, corresponding secretary; Iluminada Tan Guzvara, treasurer; Lagrimas Reparado Zapanta, assistant treasurer; Perla Ong Arguelles, auditor; and Ledelia Aragona Biliran, PRO. The board of directors are Perla Ong Arguelles, Esperanza Tobes Buenconsejo, Eleanor Ledesma Cejar, Ruth Tirol Jarantilla, Virginia Castro Segovia and Alice Josef Zerrudo.
