The Induction of New Rotarians
It was a historic night for the Rotary Club of Iloilo South when it held its 40th induction of officers and new members. Dialita Jardeleza, the newly-inducted and first lady president of the Rotary Club of Iloilo South embarks on the Rotary Year 2010-2011 theme, “Building Communities and Bridging Continents.”
The officers and members of the Rotary Club of Miagao were also inducted that night.
The Rotary International bestowed PP Nilo Jardeleza with the Service Above Self Award. Six club members were also honored for their outstanding achievements, namely Governor Arthur Defensor of the Province of Iloilo; Ann Anita Jesena as the Most Outstanding Physician, garnered the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Award; Mayor and PP Arcadio Gorriceta of Pavia, Iloilo; Mayor and PP Ann Julieta Flores of Miagao; Board Member PP Gerry Flores of the Province of Iloilo and Councilor PP Jason Gonzales of Iloilo City.
The event ended with the Rotarian tradition of the “Palabas”, a dance performed by club members and with the fellowship.
