Capitol joins 110th CSC anniversary rites
The Iloilo provincial government joined the 110th Civil Service Commission anniversary celebration that kicked off Monday with a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony nationwide.
The flag-raising ceremony was led by Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. and attended by the CSC Iloilo provincial office heads and personnel and Capitol employees.
CSC Director II Erna Ilisan said the month-long celebration is themed, “In a RACE to serve.”
RACE stands for Advancing Responsive, Accessible, Courteous and Effective Public Service.
Ilisan also read the messages of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III and CSC Chairman Francisco Duque before the Capitol employees as she encouraged them to carry on an exemplary public service.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Defensor led the ribbon-cutting for the exhibit of the provincial government where they showcase the plaques, awards and other accomplishments of the Iloilo province.
Alma Ravena, assistant head of the Human Resource and Management Department, said the exhibit, running until Friday, will showcase how the provincial government extends public service to the Ilonggos.*PNA
