Jed, Jerry seen to field common candidates
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said he and Rep. Jerry Treñas may support common candidates for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 25.
Mabilog said he has consulted some barangay captains and ward leaders on their preparation for the coming polls.
He said he cannot support candidates who did not support him and Treñas in the May 10 elections.
However, Mabilog said those who opposed him in the last elections are free to come to him and signify their intentions to help his administration.
He admitted that the barangay election is supposed to be non-partisan but
he said his projects and programs depend so much on barangay leaders who are willing to help him accomplish his development agenda for the city in the next three years.
Mabilog said the candidates he and Treñas will support must have a development agenda aligned with their vision for Iloilo City.*PNA
