P352-M rice processing complex in Pototan up before year’s end
The construction of the P352-million rice processing complex in Pototan, Iloilo will start before the end of the year, Agriculture Regional Director Larry Nacionales said.
He said the project is already good as approved and, in fact, the Korean International Cooperation Agency has already released funds for the initial implementation of the project.
Nacionales said a similar project has already kicked off in Pangasinan and Iloilo is expected to follow soon. The other two projects will be built in Davao and Bohol.
The complex will house rice processing equipment, top-of-the-line rice mill, dryer, and trucking services equipment all of Korean model.
Nacionales said the national government also provided its counterpart for the project.
The provincial and municipal government of Iloilo and Pototan, respectively, also committed to comply with their counterparts, especially the site and access road for the project.*PNA
