21 Ilonggos hired for jobs abroad
Twenty-one jobseekers were hired on the spot for work abroad during a recent recruitment activity facilitated by the Iloilo City Public Employment Service Office.
The City PESO continues to help jobseekers find opportunities for both local and foreign jobs.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said he is keen on providing jobs for Ilonggos as part of his development thrusts for the city.
Out of 64 registered male applicants, 21 were able to have a contract signing immediately after their interview by a manpower agency last week.
The successful applicants were hired for various positions, including food servers and service crew, and management trainees for restaurants in Saudi Arabia.
PESO Manager Alan Zaldivar said the agency will conduct another recruitment activity next week for female applicants for jobs in Qatar.
