Mabilog rates performance: 6 out of 10
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said he is giving his administration a “little above average” or “six out of 10” performance rating in it first 100 days.
Mabilog will deliver his “State of the City Address” during the City Council’s regular session today.
“I will report about the current condition of the city, the programs we have started and the plans we intend to pursue. There are more things to be done though there were limitations. We will do a lot of things in 2011. We expect results by 2011 to 2012,” Mabilog told reporters.
“There are a lot of challenges, and the big challenge is how to provide employment and see to it that the residents have sustenance for their family’s daily needs as well as the provision of public utilities such as electricity, potable water and transportation,” the mayor said.
Mabilog said his administration is now in the “starting stage and almost halfway” of implementing priority development programs and projects despite several criticisms from various sectors.
“I really don’t mind criticisms now as I deal with it with maturity. I always find a reason and ways on how to implement improvements or correct the problems immediately. I am ready to listen to the sentiments of the constituents,” he added.*
