UPV graduates top fisheries exam
Graduates the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences of the University of the Philippines dominated the top 10 spots in the 2010 Fisheries Technologists Licensure Exam, as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission on October 26.
UPV was also ranked as the top performing school with a passing percentage of 94.12 percent. Sixteen of its 17 examinees passed the exam.
The topnotchers are: Renee May E. Galeos, first place; Joel T. Abalayan, second; Roie L. Balunan, third; Grace-an T. Villareal, fourth; Carl Luigi M. Cervantes and Rose Jane N. Sablon, fifth; Jermaine I. Lacsamana, seventh place; Maria Mojena G. Gonzales, ninth place; and Vladimer Paul Q. Palla, 10th.
The PRC data showed that of the 228 that took the licensure exam, only 67 passed.*
