Shorter time for permits processing in 2011: mayor
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the City Government will fast track the processing of business permits in 2011.
Starting next year, processing time for business permits will be reduced from 10 months to a maximum of 30 days only.
The fastest would be seven days, he added.
“This is my promise to our businessmen to show the kind of efficiency we have here at City Hall,” Mabilog said.
He said any delay in the issuance should be immediately reported to him.
He also ordered the Permits and Licensing Division to issue new business permits starting this month instead of waiting for January.
Mabilog had earlier met with representatives from the City Treasurer’s Office, Permits and Licensing Division, Bureau of Fire Protection, and other agencies concerned in the issuance of business permit, to put into place a more efficient business process in the city.*PNA
