An official of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Western Visayas has suggested that a hall at the Metro Manila Rehabilitation Center, site of the infamous ‘Bicutan siege,' be named after one of the slain jailers.

Capitol to hold ceremonial Patak of Vit. A

In support to Department of Health's (DOH) campaign in providing children with better health services, the Iloilo Provincial Government through Gov. Niel D. Tupas, Sr. and with the initiative of Provincial Health Office (PHO) will be having a Ceremonial Patak of Vitamin A for children six to seventy-one months old on April 12, 2004, 8:30 a.m. at Capitol Lobby.

First Watershed stakeholders' assembly stated

To further boost the implementation of the Clean Water Act in Iloilo province,  the Iloilo Watershed Management Council Council (IWMC) and the Provincial Board will convene the 1st Watershed Stakeholders Assembly on April 19, 2005 , at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol conference room.

New born screening's full implementation eyed

A Focused-Group Discussion on the Implementation of the Newborn Screening Act took place last March 30, 2005 and attended by DOH Regional Director Lydia S. Depra-Ramos and National Institute for Health's Dr. Carmencita D. Padilla, who also headed the discussion.
