A teacher like her...
Mrs. Lilia G. Ramos
Special children manifest behaviors that are sometimes enigmatic to human understanding. They are commonly associated with the mentally-challenged, but as a group, they show superior attainments throughout childhood and early adult life. At times, they are even accelerated in school or are given more tasks than everyone else. They also show leadership, creativity and the like. Like the other areas, hyperactivity or antisocial demeanor are also apparent to them. They are prone to episodic tantrums or succumb to silence while doing their tasks. One teacher shares her sentiments with these gifted kids . She is Mrs. Lilia G. Ramos. She's married to Leo and are blessed with four children: Ariane, Ailil, Luanne and Rinehard. Teacher in 2003.
Teaching is one of the noblest professions. It is a lifetime commitment. It is a venue to discover new things, to communicate to others, to mold dreams, to create character and make leaders of tomorrow. Teachers are to build bridges not destroy them. For Ramos, teaching is a vocation, but to teach with love is a mission. And that it involves an unselfish commitment to change lives for the better. A saying that sums it all is: 'Teaching minds, touching hearts and transforming lives.' When these things are in every teacher's heart fulfillment follows.
With her years being a teacher, having seen specific needs of her students she did not limit what was offered to her. Rather, she explored to do more things, read in advance, know the latest in fashion, music, arts and more. She made an effort to make her daily lesson different from another. And that it should incorporate all aspects for the child's growth.
