Jamora's support has no condition--Treñas
City Mayor Jerry Treñas has not given Lorenzo Jamora any favor in exchange for the latter's open declaration of support to him in next year's election.
This the city's chief executive told the media last week following Jamora's official pronouncement that he would support Treñas instead of Malabor for mayor.
Jamora, who owns several businesses here in the city, is currently the administrator of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
Treñas welcomed Jamora's support for him but he clarified that the latter did not ask any favor from him in exchange of said support.
Jamora was Malabor's supporter when the latter was still in power.
Lately, however, Jamora declared that he would support Treñas and his group under Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez, Sr.
Meanwhile, sources close to Malabor said the former mayor will push through with his plan to run as city mayor city again even without Jamora's help.
The same source said Malabor will be backed by a congressman who has an ax to grind against the Gonzalezes especially the Justice Secretary.
