Things back to normal at Iloilo Capitol

While a mass was ongoing at the driveway, people went in and out of the Capitol building, seemingly unaware of what had happed the day before.

Dulay justifies Capitol 'assault'

Chief Supt. Wilfredo Dulay, regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 6, defended the forceful attempt by the police to get Governor Niel Tupas out of office last Wednesday saying it was needed under the circumstances.

Senate probe sought on Capitol 'assault'

Gov. Niel Tupas Sr. is asking the Senate and the National Police Commission to conduct an investigation into Wednesday's storming of the Capitol by police commandos to arrest him.

IHRRA assures clean, safe food during food festival

The Iloilo Hotels Resorts and Restaurants Association (IHRRA) assures that the food to be sold by some 27 hotels and restaurants during the Dinagyang Festival Food Festival are "clean" and free from any contamination, thus will not cause any food borne illness.

'Sadsad sa Molo' on Sunday

Parishioners and devotees of Señor Sto. Niño in Molo district will once again gather to keep the spirit of the Little Child alive as they converge in the plaza on Sunday (January 21). Western Visayas' largest convention center served as the venue of the recently concluded 7th Iloilo Provincial Liga Convention with the theme "Pagbuylog sang mga Pamuluyo kag Pag-ugyon sang Barangay padulong sa Pag-uswag sang Pumunu-an Lokal."

The successful three-day convention was the first-ever big affair held at The Centennial Resort Hotel and Convention Center with more than 800 participants coming from 42 municipalities and one component city in the province of Iloilo.

The ballroom of the Iloilo Grand Hotel was filled with breathless excitement as talented designer Eric de los Santos's beautiful creations paraded the catwalk donned by notable Ilonggo personalities, Rotarians and ramp models. Dubbed "Iloilo Stars on the Runway", the fashion show was organized by the Rotary Club of Iloilo South with president Vic Lagman and his wife, Rotary Ann Sally Lagman at the helm.
