AFP official dodges attack

Some forty locals of a hinterland village in Leon, Iloilo cordoned off an official of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) here from a potential attack Sunday evening.

Traffic experimentation to go on

Public utility jeepneys (PUJs) under the Metro Iloilo Development Council (MIDC) yesterday held a strike in protest of the traffic experimentation being implemented by the city government.

Lack of asphalt delays repair of pothole-ridden roads

The repair of the city's damaged roads is primarily the responsibility of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as most of them are considered national roads.

Green Banner awardees bared

BACOLOD CITY -- A former member of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPA-ABB) was killed while his companion was seriously wounded in an encounter with an unidentified armed group Saturday afternoon in Manapla town in Negros Occidental.
