The government's anti-graft body has now officially started a fact-finding mission aimed at setting the records straight on the quarry activities in Janiuay, Iloilo.

Treñas downplays planned transport strike

City Mayor Jerry Treñas downplayed the threat of drivers groups belonging to the Metro Iloilo Transport Federation (MITF) to stage a transport strike to protest the implementation of ordinance 2007-195 which shortened their routes.

Fireworks competition to add color to Dinagyang '08

Seventeen participants mostly from Luzon will showcase their best in a fireworks competition to be held at the old airport runway in Mandurriao district as an added attraction to the forthcoming Dinagyang festival.
