ROXAS CITY—The bloodletting activity spearheaded by the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Capiz Chapter headed by its president, Councilor David Bauson, was recently held at the poolside of the Villareal Stadium here. The activity was supported by the province's 16 municipalities.
The bloodletting is in connection with the PCL Week being celebrated yearly every first week of September under PD Proclamation No. 212 dated July 23, 1993.
With the theme: "Kalusugan, Kalikasan, Kabuhayan... Susi sa Kaunlaran," the bloodletting was conducted by the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) with administrator Nelia Cartujano and Dr. Charlie Robles of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital at the helm.

"The bloodletting will help the PNRC's blood bank reserve which indeed is a long way in saving the lives of our brothers in times of crisis," Bauson said.
Other city officials also attended the activity led by City Mayor Vicente Bermejo who gave assurance that the city government is fully supportive of the PCL Capiz.
Governor Victor Tanco, Sr, who was not able to attend due to prior appointment, sent his message which was read by Board Member Esteban Evan Contreras. Sen. Mar Roxas also sent his message which was read by City Councilor Dennis Altobano.
