The Big Give
Project Tulong Members.
The devastation of Typhoon Frank last June was the worst the people of the island of Panay have ever experienced but such adversity brings out the best of people. One such case is in the person of Beverly " Pangging" Rosales, known to almost everyone as the lady whose face frequents the society pages and covers of glossy magazines. A woman of leisure many might say but deep inside her sans the trappings of designer's clothes and jewelries, the lady has a big heart.
Two days after Typhoon Frank lashed the whole Panay, Pangging as she is fondly called by friends, received a text message from TNT's Managing Director Marichel Teves- Magalona appealing for aid to the affected communities.

de Guzman.
Having just arrived from the U.S. a week before to attend the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in New York, Pangging without hesitation, emailed all her friends in the West Coast appealing to send financial donations to the typhoon victims. A week later, the biggest surprise in her life came --- an email from her aunts Nimia Lacebal and Dr. Ellise Flores, active officers of Laguna & Friends Inc. in New Jersey informed her that their organization known as the Association of Philippine Physicians in America in care of President Francis Talangbayan M.D. and wife Christy Talangbayan is sending hospital beds and medical equipment worth almost 15 million pesos.

On October 14, 2008 , under "Project Tulong" three 20 footer container vans containing 35 top-of-the line electronic hospital beds, a portable X-ray machine, four dialysis machines, 50 mattresses, wheel chairs, crutches, mini emergency tables and several boxes of orthopedic equipment and gadgets, surgical shoes and gowns were turned over to to the beneficiary, the Frederico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital (FRTSMDH) in Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay , Iloilo. The hospital was one of the most badly hit by the typhoon, which almost submerged the whole building leaving its medical equipment in almost disrepair. For this big aid, the FRTSMDH is most grateful and will once again be giving their services to the Janiuaynons and to its neighboring towns. Accepting the turn over of donation was the Mayor of Janiuay Ben Margarico and Dr. Noel Roy Gigare, FRTSMDH Head of Hospital.

It was also through the cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General Cecilia Rebong and Deputy Consul General Melita Thomeczek.
