CSCRO6 leads series of Anti-Red Tape Seminars
To further strengthen its Anti-Red Tape Initiatives, the Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 6 (CSCRO6) spearheads a series of Anti-Red Tape Orientation-Seminars for Local Government Units (LGUs) and National Government Agencies (NGAs) in Negros Occidental as well as LGUs in the provinces of Capiz, Aklan, and Antique this November.
The Orientation-Seminar on the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 aims to familiarize the participants with the framework for public service improvement and enable them to understand the nature of governance. It will also tackle the rules and regulations in the implementation of Republic Act 9485, also known as "An Act to Improve Efficiency in the Delivery of Government Service to the Public by Reducing Bureaucratic Red Tape, Preventing Graft and Corruption, and Providing Penalties thereof."
The schedule for the Anti-Red Tape Orientation-Seminar follows:
November 20: NGAs (Negros Occ.) - Grand Regal Hotel, Araneta St., Singcang, Bacolod City;
November 21: LGUs(Negros Occ.) - Grand Regal Hotel, Araneta St., Singcang, Bacolod City;
November 26: LGUs (Capiz) - MVW Restaurant and Tourist Inn, Roxas City, Capiz;
November 27: LGUs (Aklan) - Municipal Hall, Kalibo, Aklan;
November 28: LGUs (Antique) - To be arranged
Earlier, CSCRO6 conducted the same Orientation-Seminar for NGAs and LGUs in Iloilo Province and LGUs in the Province of Guimaras.
RA 9485 together with its Implementing Rules and Regulations and Administrative Order No. 241 issued on
October 2, 2008 by the Office of the President, aim to facilitate and improve the delivery of public service.
