Zayco recommends Felix to become permanent Noppo chief
BACOLOD CITY -- Governor Isidro Zayco already made a recommendation to the National Police Commission (Napolcom) for the permanency of Senior Supt. Manuel Felix as PNP Provincial Director.
Zayco said with almost a month and half of Felix's leadership in Negros Occidental Police Office (Noppo), he is contended with his performance and dealings with his subordinates.
"I think it's high time for me to make him permanent in the province because he's doing very well in line with his functions," the governor added.
Felix officially assumed office on November 24, 2008, replacing Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, who was relieved from Negros and reassigned to Camp Crame.
In an interview, Felix said he is very grateful on the move of the governor.
"I would like to thank Governor Zayco for having that recommendation and for sure I will do my very best to give pride to Negros Occidental police force," he added.
With the support of the civilians as well the media, who directly inform the people of the happenings around, he said, it will be easy to prevent and solve crimes.
"It's a matter of cooperation between us and the Negrense people," Felix stressed.
Physical enhancement of offices from headquarters down to various police stations in the province has just started to improve its image to the public.
"I even spent my holidays here in the province, roaming around the entire police stations and give inspiration to my fellows to do their responsibility," he added.
At 10 a.m today at the Provincial Capitol a Road Safety seminar will be held to be attended by all chiefs of police to prevent road accidents.
Felix's 2009 action plan with the acronym of T.E.A.M N.E.G.R.O.S will also be launched.
