The Negros Trade Fair, the Philippines’ longest-running provincially organized Trade Fair in Metro Manila, will move to another dimension soon when it will make available its Negros-made products through its online store.
The Trade Fair, organized and managed by the Association of Negros Producers (ANP), features a wide range of Negros-made products, which include furniture, home furnishings, garments, bags, fashion accessories and food delicacies. The on-line initiative, another first of marketing initiatives from similarly organized trade fairs in the country, is expected to call attention again to the association that has also been cited as having established one of the country’s best managed Trade Houses for SMEs.
According to Mary Anne Colmenares, ANP President, efforts have been stepped up this year so that this year’s fair will offer the public with newer and more innovative products.
With the Negros Trade Fair now on its 24th year, the www.bestofnegrosisland.com portal will open itself to accept orders from the rest of the country and the world, at exactly the same time that the doors to the physical exhibits of the 24th Negros Trade Fair at The Rockwell Tent in Makati City will open to the public.

This innovation, announced this year’s Negros Trade Fair chairperson Millie Kilayko, has been designed because of three-pronged motivations. “First and foremost is our commitment to continue providing our member companies and their worker dependents with facilities to market their products to a bigger arena so that jobs may be sustained.
Secondly, we seek to serve those who wish to have access to Negros-made products but may find it difficult to visit the Negros Trade Fair because of time, distance or other physical impediments. And finally, we believe that the only way to survive in an ever increasingly competitive arena is to use the tools of trade in today’s modern market– which is the use of Internet facilities.”
The 24th Negros Trade Fair will run from September 11-16 this year at The Rockwell Tent in Makati City.
