More Flavors Of The Sea at Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine
Kare-Kare na Lamang Dagat.
Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine, located at The Avenue is home to our all-time favorites that are cooked even better. That includes seafoods, which are not just healthy but also light but filling.
Today, Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine is adding more seafood must-tries in its menu, giving the discriminating diner a reason to come back for more.
Try the Kare-kare na Lamang Dagat, an assortment of seafood simmered in peanut sauce served with native vegetables. I don’t eat green shells and it was only in Bauhinia that I got to enjoy its succulence.
I had Bauhinia Iced Tea.
Enjoy the taste of steamed Lapu-Lapu fillet with mango salsa through Pinasingawang Lapu-Lapu sa Manga Salsa. The mango salsa gives a sweet and sour taste to the natural flavor of the fish. Those who are conscious of their health would find a friend in this offering.
Try Nilasing na Diwal. Probably the best shellfish there is, “diwal” is angel wings and at Bauhinia, they are cooked in beer stock and ginger and garnished with spring onion.
Tinolang Tahong sa Tanglad is another exciting way to eat green shells. The green shell soup has ginger, onion spring, lemon grass and native petchay.
The above mentioned gastronomic delights were prepared by Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine before some selected members of the media recently.
Apart from that, the list of new seafood offerings include: Bistek Lapu-Lapu (Pan-grilled Lapu-Lapu fillet with Bistek sauce and onion rings), Adobong Diwal sa Gata (Ilonggo angel wings clam simmered in adobo sauce and coconut milk), Kinilaw na Diwal (angel wings clam soaked in spicy kinilaw with mango relish), Ginisng Sugpo sa Sarsa (Tiger prawns sautéed in garlic and tomato sauce), Lapu-Lapu sa Tausi (deep fried Lapu-Lapu fillet with Black Beans sauce) and Lapu-Lapu Diningding (Pan-fried Lapu-Lapu fillet on a bed of sautéed vegetables).
The restaurant’s name was derived from a small but stocky tree growing to a height of eight to 10 meters and with leaves that have a butterfly configuration called the Bauhinia tree.
