City inaugurates P3M road at Gardenville in Tangub
BACOLOD CITY — Mayor Evelio Leonardia led the blessing and inauguration Wednesday last week afternoon of the P3 million access road in Gardenville Subdivision at Barangay Tangub.
Also present during the blessing and inauguration were Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Councilor Homer Bais, Barangay Tangub Captain Carlos Montaño and some barangay kagawads, Gardenville Homeowners’ Association president Mateo Valenzuela, City Engineer Teresita Guadalupe and City Engineer’s Office staff, homeowners and residents. Fr. Mike Carreon led the blessing.
Leonardia said that the Gardenville road is one of the biggest individual projects allocated for a certain barangay. The mayor assured the residents that this is not the end of the project as the city government is looking into the possibility of connecting the new road to the circumferential road. He said that it is a thrust of the city government to build more new access roads for the Bacoleños.
The mayor also stressed that the city government has earmarked various projects not only for Barangay Tangub but the other barangays as well to ensure that these areas keep up with the changing times.
Gardenville Homeowners president Mateo Valenzuela, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to the mayor and the city government for prioritizing the concreting of the road that has caused them difficulty for so many years.
The city government is also in the process of completing the improvement of the drainage system along Ramylu Drive in Barangay Tangub and will appropriate budget for the repair of the drainage system in Purok Paghida-et, Purok Seaside, Purok Villa Esperanza and Purok Crossing in Tangub.
